![]() ![]() We hadn’t really thought about it at the time, but it turned out to be this that it was actually a good training exercise - or boot camp if you will - to allow my new team that had never made a Gears of War game before. They had made all kinds of other games, whether it’d be (Warhammer 40,000) Space Marine, Assassin's Creed, Crysis and all kinds of different games across the industry - but they hadn’t made a Gears game. It felt like going back to the original was a good way to - it’s been the longest sort of absence, and it felt like a good entry point for potentially new players to kind of get into it. It takes about three years to make a Gears game, so we had a discussion around how can we get Gears of War on Xbox One sooner for the fans, and the idea of remastering came up.
